Titular Chorus and Orchestra of the Teatro Real | Coreography by Akram Khan
The stars of the English National Ballet, under the Artistic Direction of Tamara Rojo, returns to the Teatro Real after an absence of 13 years. On this occasion, they will grace a stage built in the Plaza de Oriente with the iconic love story of Giselle, presented in the version of choreographer Akram Khan, one of the most important references of present day dance. Working with him, there is an accomplished team, with recognition through prizes such as the Tony (lighting designer, Mark Henderson) or the Oscar (set and costume designer, Tim Yip).
Music by Vincenzo Lamagna.
Based on the original work by Adolphe Adam.
Production from the Manchester International Festival and Sadler’s Wells in London, with support from Giselle Production Syndicate and Arts Council England.
